CHC30113 – Certificate III in Early Childhood Education

Our very popular CHC30113 – Certificate III in Childhood Education qualification reflects the role of workers in a range of early childhood education settings who work within the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standard.

People who undertake this qualification typically support the implementation of an approved learning framework, and support children’s wellbeing, learning and development.

Course Highlights

Upon successfully completing this nationally recognised qualification, you will be able to:

Entry Requirements

There are no pre-requisites for this course. However, prior to enrolment, you will be required to provide your:

  • Working with children’s check clearance number;
  • National Police Check clearance certificate;
  • Unique Student Identifier;
  • Photo identification; and we will need to ensure that you
  • Meet the language, literacy and numeracy requirements.

Duration & Mode

Because we provide a high level of face to face support, and embed self-paced learning activities into this program, this course can be completed in 12 months.

  • In most cases, you will be expected to attend day time classes; and
  • Undertake some independent learning and assessment, which may be online.

As a guide, you will be required to study a minimum of 25 hours per week, consisting of:

  • Face to face training for 26 weeks;
  • Online via our Learning Management System (LMS); and
  • Self study, supported learning and additionally supplied multimedia resources.

How will I be Assessed?

Because this is a nationally recognised qualification, you will need to be formally assessed. We use a range of assessment methods for this qualification, including:

  • Verbal questioning;
  • Short written answers to competency questions;
  • Projects; and
  • Observation of your performance in a simulated workplace and work placement.
Work Placement
  • The training program includes 160 hours of industry / work placement.
